BEFORE YOU APPLY TO INTERN HERE
You can expect a pretty easy experience and application process. We don’t even require resumes. We know that many college students don’t have them, so if you don’t have one, that’s OK. When you apply, send us a letter to tell us that you’d like to intern here, and then tell us why. In all likelihood, provided we have an opening, you’ll score an interview.
Here’s what we are looking for:
- A consistently positive attitude
- A “can do” approach to challenges
- The ability to work in a team
- The desire to go above and beyond
- Evidence that you did your homework on our company (and perhaps read this page)
- Good references from your professors
- The willingness to participate in all aspects of the company to at least SEE what it’s like
- A “go getter” mentality, one that just screams: “TEACH ME!”
Here’s what we don’t want:
- Immaturity and not understanding that there is a difference between school and the professional world
- Gossiping, talking negatively about someone else, etc.
- Lying during the interview (yes, we’ll catch you)
- Clock-watchers
If you can dazzle us and show us most of what we’re looking for, and almost none of what we’re not, you’ll probably be invited to intern with us.
…and because we know how stressful it can be, here are a few tips to help you through your interview:
- If you’re nervous, say so. We’re nice people and don’t want to see you sweating bullets.
- Dress nicely. A suit is not necessary, but looking sharp is.
- Tell us about yourself and let us see who you are by giving us a funny story or two to share some of your experiences.
- Don’t bash your professors or your school, and be prepared to show us your Facebook page. Got a picture of you doing a bong hit with your buddies as your profile picture? Might want to take that down before you apply. We do look up applicants’ social media profiles.
- Ask us lots of questions! Feel free to bring paper/pen and a prepared list of questions.
- If you have a resume, bring a copy with you. If not, you can also bring some projects that you worked on. If you show up empty handed because you don’t have anything, it’s not a deal breaker.
- Relax. Sincerely. It’s all good and if you’re a nice person, want to do the work, have a good attitude, AND we have an opening, you’re in. That’s it!
Think you’ve got what it takes? Awesome! Apply Now.
